Traditions, legends and stories have been preserved in Umhausen. To keep them from being forgotten and to lend guests of the Ötz valley insight into the folkloric history of Umhausen, the myths and chapels trail was brought to life.
Upon payment of a deposit of € 2, it is possible to hire a CD-Player with accompanying CD (in the languages German, English, French). One also receives a map and a pamphlet to lead you on the trail of legends and ancient stories, among well-preserved chapels and commemorative shrines.
Experience the folkloric traditions in a 6 to 7 hour walk. Everything can be read up again afterwards. The circle route applies to the middle region of the Ötz valley which includes the villages of Umhausen, Niederthai, Köfels, Farst und Tumpen.
