An enjoyable walk awaits you in Oetz. Walk from the town center for approximately 1,5 hours to the Piburger lake. Follow the Ötz river until you arrive at the Weller bridge. The charming bridge offers a breathtaking view of the wild river. It allows you to stand safe and sure while marveling at the rushing and roaring water before continuing your walk.
The path now becomes narrow and a little steeper. It leads through the mountain slide forest which is a real adventure for children because it is real fun to play on the moss-covered rocks. This is followed by a wide and well-marked forest pathway.
Follow this path to the shores of the Piburger lake, the warmest bathing lake of Tyrol and enjoy the unspoiled landscape of this nature protection area. Take a break and refresh yourself at the lake before making your way back. You can select longer or shorter paths, as desired.
