The Tiefenbach glacier is situated at Sölden on one of the mightiest mountains of the Ötz valley Alpine region - the Tiefenbachkogel. It measures 3.309 meters at its highest point and is the second highest mountain of the BIG3. The glacier stretches from a height of 3.249 meters to 2.795 meters above sea level.

The south facing glacier demands respect with its unique, breathtaking scenery. A large part of the glacier was incorporated into the skiing region Sölden/Hochsölden.

A total of 16 km of pistes (1 km difficult, 4 km intermediate and 13km easy) and 6 lifts belong to the Tiefenbach glacier ski region. In addition, there is a half pipe and a magnificent fun park for snowboarders with boxes, jumps, slides, rails and wave rides, etc.

Both glacier ski regions can easily be reached by means of a ski lift named "The Golden Gate to the Glacier". Thus nothing stands in the way of skiing fun on the Tiefenbach glacier.

A ski tunnel was built with which the Tiefenbach glacier can be reached from the Rettenbach glacier. It is situated at approx. 3 250m above sea level and connects the two ski regions with each other.

In addition, the glacier region is a component and a segment area of the BIG 3 Rally, from where one can reach the 2nd BIG3 panoramic viewing platform - the Tiefenbachkogel.
